The effects of aloe on diabetes . In India, Dr. Agarwal OP conducted a large 5-year study on 5,000 patients aged 35 to 65 suffering from arteriosclerosis, often also diabetics.

All patients had previously suffered from several angina attacks, and the disease had been confirmed by electrocardiogram.
In this research over 63% of the patients (3167) also had diabetes, of which 76.6% were male and 23.4% were female.
Many patients also had a second risk factor, hypertension, present in 43% of subjects (1,360 with mild form and 791 with severe form). Approximately half of the sample were smokers (10 to 15 cigarettes a day).

All numerical data relating to Aloe therapy on diabetes are reported in the table:

Patients were periodically given 100 g of aloe juice and 20 grams of isabgol; they were then taught how to mix these substances with the flour they used to make bread, which they ate for lunch and dinner. Patients were prescribed a strict diet, while no contraindications were given regarding medications (antihypertensives, oral antidiabetics, digitalis, etc.), which study participants were free to take. All patients, however, were prohibited from consuming any type of alcoholic beverage , and there was no prohibition on continuing to smoke.

After just three months of treatment with Aloe, 94.4% of diabetics had normal blood sugar levels, 5.6% still had values above normal*.

Ischemia almost disappeared and cholesterol reduction*

The aloe-enriched bread treatment showed tangible positive results after just three months, and even more remarkable results a year later. Initial evidence was seen in an electrocardiogram performed during a treadmill stress test: before starting the treatment, all patients showed signs of ischemia (in 56.4%, the anterior wall of the heart was affected, and in the remaining 43.6%, the inferior wall).

However, when this test was repeated after a year of treatment with Aloe, only about 7% still showed signs of ischemia, distributed more or less equally between the two groups. Equally positive results were obtained for total cholesterol and triglycerides. This result is particularly important because at the beginning of the study, all patients in this group had increased values for total cholesterol and triglycerides (see Table 2).

Lipid profile trend after Aloe therapy

After three months of therapy, approximately 9 out of 10 showed significantly reduced blood fat levels, returning to normal levels . In practice, the aloe treatment (which was added to a diet aimed at lowering cholesterol) had almost completely eliminated the main imbalance that exposed these patients to the risk of a heart attack or other cardiovascular event.

Aloe normalizes and stabilizes blood sugar levels*

Adding aloe to the diet had significant positive effects on cholesterol: three months of therapy restored levels to normal in approximately 93% of patients. In 4,642 out of 5,000 cases, LDL cholesterol levels, which cause artery narrowing, were reduced, and HDL cholesterol levels, which protect the arteries, were increased.

Furthermore, with the reduction of cholesterol levels, angina attacks (chest pain) due to cardiac ischemia ceased in the vast majority of patients.

A characteristic of the study group was the high percentage of diabetics. Over 63% of patients had unbalanced blood sugar levels. To assess the effects of Aloe therapy, blood sugar levels were measured at two times: fasting and after a meal. In both situations, the diabetic subjects showed abnormal values.

The table shows that in two-thirds of patients, blood glucose levels had a slight deviation from normal values, while in the remaining third, it was a more marked imbalance. Overall, the trend is confirmed for both fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels.
The most comforting result, however, is that, after three months of therapy with Aloe, in 2,990 out of 3,167 patients the blood sugar levels had dropped below the normal threshold.

Only 177 subjects (121 of those who originally had mild hyperglycemia and 56 with more severe hyperglycemia) did not benefit from the therapy. Aloe's effectiveness in patients with early diabetes is perhaps even more significant than its effect on cholesterol levels because it is known that excess blood sugar, even the form that occurs after age fifty, is a serious disease that can, over time, lead to serious complications of the heart, circulatory system, eyes, and brain.

Diabetes: the disease of well-being

Diabetes has been called the disease of affluence, as it is commonly thought to be the result of increased affluence in a society.
Personal lifestyles and social conditions associated with economic development are considered important risk factors. This disease is expected to become increasingly common in developing countries.

Among the potential risk factors we have:

  • Less strenuous exercise with the help of machines
  • Office jobs that do not involve physical effort
  • Low-cost, easily accessible food
  • Higher fat and high sugar foods
  • Increased consumption of meat and dairy products
  • Increased consumption of refined flours, such as in white bread
  • Processed and pre-packaged foods, rather than fresh, seasonal foods prepared locally at the time of consumption
  • Increased use of alcohol and tobacco

Aloe against diabetes is a remedy not to be underestimated*

Regarding the mechanisms by which Aloe achieves this positive effect on cholesterol and blood sugar, researchers have no definitive answers, but they hypothesize that Aloe's healing action is linked to the high fiber content of this plant's derivatives, which helps our body eliminate excess fats and sugars.

Triglycerides and cholesterol under control*

The significant presence of vitamins and fatty acids in aloe has a significant effect on managing and controlling the HDL/LDL cholesterol ratio. Vitamins A, C, and E, all fat-soluble and easily absorbed by tissues, along with choline, promote lipid metabolism. Taken before main meals, aloe ensures low blood cholesterol levels and effectively prevents cardiovascular disease.

Aloe contains zinc and manganese which, together with vitamin B6, perform a coordinated action with the insulin produced by the beta cells of the pancreas, to control blood sugar, and act in such a way that their concentration is between 80 and 120 mg/dl.

Dr. O.P. Agarwal, in his conclusions, strongly emphasizes one fact: the study in question is the most extensive research ever conducted on the therapeutic properties of aloe. All 5,000 participants attended regular checkups for 5 years, and none of them died. One of the most interesting aspects is the fact that no negative side effects were observed . The research unequivocally demonstrates that aloe extracts can be used with positive effects in atherosclerotic heart disease. And that the greatest benefits from this therapy were seen in heart patients who also had diabetes.

Aloe Arborescens capsules, the natural remedy

Taking two capsules of 100% pure Aloe Arborescens daily before main meals for several months can be a valuable natural remedy. The capsules contain a pure, unaltered extract, obtained through cold dehydration to preserve all the active ingredients, ensuring the same effectiveness as the fresh product and a longer shelf life without the use of preservatives and additives.

Thanks to the capsule formulation you can benefit from the following advantages:

  • Always have Aloe in your pocket and at hand
  • Say goodbye to the very bitter taste of Aloe
  • You will no longer be forced to take honey and the alcoholic part present in some preparations

Organic Aloe Arborescens capsules are ideal for meeting these needs.
